MODx and YAML - from zero to finished site

Why MODx? Because it just rocks if you have some markup skills.
In this tutorial we will start with an empty MODx and the default YAML 2 column left layout. In fact I just dropped all of YAML in a folder called mytemplate inside the MODx assets/templates folder.

  • You can simply use the following tag in Head section instead of prefixing [(base_url)].



    After adding above, just use path like: assets/image/image.jpg

  • Thanks for this tutorial. I am trying to get acquainted with MODx and contenido together with YAML the next weeks. Most tutorials I found so far are for the more commen CMS like Joomla!
  • Thanks for this tut. With a Firefox plug-in like It's All Text!" you don't have to edit the HTML in a browser text area. With the plug-in you can edit the HTML in your preferred text editor. Again, very nice tut, and thanks for promoting this great CMS.
